Few other circumstances such as the process that led to the founding of the State of Israel are able to concentrate and mirror all the critical issues and facets of a period as dense as the post-WWII period. Probably, it is not wrong to say that in this case we are facing a transition (i.e., that of the Jewish people) within another broader transition (i.e., the global one in the aftermath of WWII). Thus, the difficulty in understanding the different aspects of the question increases in a geometrical progression.
