It is a pleasure to announce that the first 2022 special issue of Nuova Antologia Militare (NAM) is out. The special issue “Venetian-Ottoman Wars” edited by Stathis Birtachas collects 11 articles and the critical edition of a primary source.
The contributions examine aspects and circumstances of military and extra-military nature that occurred in the framework of the Ottoman-Venetian conflicts in the Early modern times. The volume presents at least two elements of interest. First, it provides the perspective of the Greek historiography on major Mediterranean – and European – crisis to the international scholarly audience. Finally, the graphic design stands out for its originality and aesthetic appeal.
Nuova Antologia Militare (NAM) is the journal of Società Italiana di Storia Militare. NAM is a golden open access and double-blind peer-review journal. It hosts original scientific articles in Italian, English, French and Spanish, dealing with military history from a global, diachronic and interdisciplinary perspective.
